Central to our mission is building a unified business voice. We work closely with our members to articulate their positions on critical business issues and convey these perspectives to government officials, the media, and other influential entities. To tackle specific public policy areas, AmCham has established six Advocacy Committees, each tasked with addressing priority sectors and challenges, and working under the umbrella of our unique advocacy platform named Rule of Dialogue

How We Do It

AmCham currently has six active committees:

Digital Transformation Committee

Drives policies that accelerate Montenegro’s digital innovation and adoption across industries.

Real Estate Committee

Advocates for transparent regulations and sustainable development in the real estate sector.

Labor Relations Committee

Focuses on fostering fair labor practices and improving workforce regulations.

Health Care Committee

Supports reforms that enhance the quality, accessibility, and efficiency of Montenegro’s health care system.

Grey Economy Committee

Works to combat informal economic activities and promote a level playing field for all businesses.

ESG Committee

Encourages environmental, social, and governance practices that align business success with sustainable development.

Rule of Dialogue is a unique program designed by AmCham Montenegro that brings together our members actively engaged in our advocacy committees with government representatives, who then work together in a structured model of cooperation and communication to address the key challenges identified by our members.

As part of our advocacy program, AmCham Montenegro produces a comprehensive Business Climate Report every two years, capturing member feedback on the current economic and regulatory landscape. This report serves as a foundation for policy recommendations and dialogue with government stakeholders.

We regularly organize roundtables, conferences, and forums to facilitate information exchange among members, government officials, and other stakeholders. These events deepen understanding of laws, procedures, and regulations impacting the business community.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with the Government of Montenegro is vital to our advocacy work. That is why our advocacy program Rule of Dialogue is executed with the strong commitment of the Government of Montenegro to be part of our joint activities under its umbrella. Moreover, AmCham Montenegro has its own representatives in numerous Government Councils.
