Within the framework of AmCham’s #RuleOfDialogue, members of the Board of Directors of AmCham Montenegro, led by President Svetlana Vuksanović, along with the Chamber’s Executive Director, Marko Miročević, representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Montenegro, and patron members, had the opportunity to host the Acting Director of the Tax Administration, Sava Laketić, and the Acting Assistant Director of the Tax Administration, Mijat Ilinčić.

During the event, attendees had the chance to familiarize themselves with the Tax Administration’s work plan, current and upcoming projects aimed at improving tax collection efficiency in Montenegro. Additionally, there was a discussion on the challenges related to the organizational and staffing capacities of the Tax Administration, as well as efforts to address deficiencies to ensure the smooth functioning of the registers under this authority, which are significant for the economy.

It was also agreed to intensify cooperation between our institutions to further reform the tax administration.
