AmCham Montenegro annual General Assembly session was held on Wednesday, June 25, at the Hotel Ramada Podgorica.  During the session, AmCham members elected two untitled Governors to serve on the Board. New Board members, with two-year mandates, are the Executive Director of Sava Montenegro, Mr. Nebojsa Scekic and the Executive Director of Philip Morris Montenegro, Ms. Svetlana Vuksanovic. Their terms will commence on August 1,2014.

Also on the agenda at the General Assembly meeting was the CSR Committee’s initiative for collecting in-kind donations for people hit by floods in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. This initiative will be conducted in partnership with the Red Cross of Montenegro, whose representatives introduced AmCham members with the current situation in the region and presented a list of the most needed in-kind donations. AmCham Montenegro will invite all members to join this initiative and help these people restore their homes.

AmCham Montenegro Executive Director, Mr. Edin Seferovic, presented the state of AmCham. He discussed the activities realized so far, upcoming plans, membership status and budget. Mr. Seferovic also presented the advocacy and networking activities that AmCham Montenegro realizes, as well as the external and internal communication activities.

AmCham will continue work on intensifying its advocacy program, strengthening regional cooperation and further grow membership.
