AmCham Montenegro hosted its special General Assembly Meeting and Holiday Party to summarize plans and activities for 2014, as well as to present its plans for the next year. In the pleasant atmosphere of Podgorica’s landmark, the Wine Cellar Šipčanik, AmCham members, business partners and friends gathered to celebrate the holiday season.

During the special General Assembly Meeting, AmCham members had the opportunity to discuss the specific business challenges in respect of doing business in Montenegro. Also, AmCham presented the initiatives undertaken in 2014 to help improve the overall business climate. The cocktail afterwards was a great networking opportunity. AmCham was very pleased to host the U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro, H.E. Sue K. Brown. Ambassador has awarded students who have successfully completed the 2014 AmCham Internship Program with Certificates of Completion. Also, she has taken a moment to acknowledge the work that AmCham is doing to promote Montenegro’s next generation of business leaders through its Internship Program.

This Program was one of the most important activities conducted by AmCham Montenegro in improving the social environment in Montenegro. In the fourth generation, 21 student has successfully completed their three months internship in one of the AmCham member companies – participants in the Program. AmCham Montenegro’s President, Mr. Predrag Lešić, has expressed gratitude in his opening remarks to following companies for taking participation in the Program: Ernst & Young, Telenor, McCANN Podgorica, Crnogorski Telekom, Telemont, Represent Communications, Hypo Alpe Adria Bank, Čikom, Gintasmont-Ramada, Uniqa insurance, Societe Generale Montenegro i Trebjesa Brewery.

AmCham Montenegro will continue with its dedicated work on promoting Montenegro as an attractive investments destination, as well as actively improving the overall business and social environment in Montenegro.
