2016AmCham Interns Learned about the Confidence – Competence Gap
AmCham Montenegro, in cooperation with the consulting firm Blue Coach, hosted today a workshop for AmCham Internship Program’s participants entitled “Confidence – Competence Gap”. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Srdjan Vukcevic, the CEO of Blue Coach and certified coach, with more than 10 years of experience in the area. Mr. Vukcevic has trained and coached business owners, sports coaches and professional players, top executives, senior managers and directors, mainly in Europe during his career.
This workshop focused to determine the demarcation line between competence and confidence, by introducing these concepts into real life examples. Likewise, students learned how low self-esteem leads to higher competencies, the three master motives and how they are driven by our unconscious behaviour, as well as the difference between identity and reputation.
Workshop also focused on providing examples of what do the most successful people do differently and breaking the career myths, in order to give a different perspective to interns regarding their future professional careers.
