“Digital transformation of the Montenegrin economy and society is one of AmCham’s priorities, and this cannot be achieved without quality registers, that is, databases and their networking,” said Marko Miročević in his opening remarks at the workshop “Register of Beneficial Owners,” organized in cooperation between AmCham and the Tax Administration of Montenegro.

The lecturer, Srđan Pavlović, Head of the Department for Registration of Beneficial Owners at the Tax Administration of Montenegro, explained to the attendees the legal obligations, the process of data entry and updating, as well as the method of verifying the accuracy of the data entered in the Register of Beneficial Owners.

The workshop was particularly useful for those who wish to ensure the transparency of their beneficial owners and fulfill legal obligations aimed at preventing money laundering and financing terrorism.
