Acting Director of the Tax Administration (TA), Sava Laketić, met with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Montenegro today, President of the Board of Directors, Svetlana Vuksanović, Executive Director, Dr. Marko Miročević, and Ana Marija Simonović, Policy Manager.

Meeting participants voiced their interest in working together more closely toward a common goal, as well as their desire to help establish a more predictable and stable business climate.

In order to achieve complete efficiency, quantifiable outcomes, trasnparency, and impartial action, acting director Laketić underlined the significance of tax system reform, bolstering tax discipline, and enhancing the Tax Administration’s work process.

AmCham representatives stressed that the transparency, promptness, and the participation of the business community in the development and revision of tax policies are critical for their practical implementation, as well as the importance of the two organizations’ collaboration in this area.

AmCham has reiterated its commitment to enhancing Montenegro’s business climate through increased cooperation and the provision of adequate support by the Chamber and its members.
