Recognition for the “Rule of Dialogue” program and a valuable donation to the Center for Children and Youth from Tivat

The American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro organized a Gala Dinner tonight at the Hilton Hotel, during which certificates of appreciation were delivered to Mrs. Jelena Milošević – Sekulić, President of the AmCham Health Committee, and Mr. Dušan Polović, General Director of the Directorate for Infrastructure, Information Security, Digitalization and E-services in the Ministry of Public Administration, and a valuable donation for neurofeedback equipment for the Day Center for children and youth with developmental disabilities from Tivat.

As Montenegro’s largest international business community, AmCham strives to improve the country’s business environment. In this sense, as the President of the Chamber emphasized during the ceremonial speech, Mrs. Svetlana Vuksanović, the focus is on creating unique opportunities and establishing a system based on the rule of law, transparency, equality, and fair market competition.

“The goal of the “Rule of Dialogue” program is to communicate together, in a team spirit, in a timely and continuous manner and collaborate on overcoming business barriers and creating a business environment that will retain the existing ones and attract new renowned companies, primarily from the USA and the EU, to do business in Montenegro”, said the AmCham President at the Gala dinner.

Ambassador Reinke highlighted the importance of the partnership between the public and private sectors for creating an attractive business climate, which unlocks new economic opportunities, innovation, and entrepreneurship.  The Ambassador added that good partnership between business and government encourages investment and creates quality jobs, noting that AmCham plays a critical role by bringing both sides together, incorporating U.S. companies in the partnership.

The Vice-President of the Government for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Nik Đeljošaj, emphasized in his speech that the economic model must change, but so do we, as well as the approach to work. On that path, he emphasized, AmCham has the support of decision-makers.

“It is precisely in this area that I see the greatest role of the American Chamber of Commerce, which was formed with the basic goal of improving the business environment, and making Montenegro more competitive and prosperous, to help on our way to the EU. We have the same vision and the same mission; we just have to achieve the goals, and we can only do that if we work together. That is why I assure you that you will have the full support of the Government of Montenegro in your activities”, said Đeljošaj.

Socially responsible business is one of the pillars of the American Chamber of Commerce and a value it has been nurturing for 15 years. The member companies that participated in the donor initiative this year are CKB Bank, Coca-Cola HBC, NLB Bank, Neregelia, Adriatic Marines, Comtrade, Erste Bank, Sava Insurance, Golden Group, BDK lawyers, Addiko Bank, Radonjic and associates, G3 Spirits, Tara Resources, Axians, Strategist and Butterfly Finance.

The Day Center from Tivat Director, Mr. Srđan Krunić, said that this valuable donation is a great wind at the back for the institution headed by him.

“One of the most significant donations to the Day Center is this from the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro, i.e. acquisition of neurofeedback equipment that will greatly improve work with our users. The donation, which aims to improve our work, proves to us that the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro behaves in a socially responsible manner towards its community and very successfully recognizes the needs of our children, i.e. the Institution”, said Krunić.
