2023AmCham Representatives met with the Minister of Finance
The AmCham President Mrs. Svetlana Vuksanović and the Executive Director Mr. Marko Miročević, met with the Minister of Finance, Mr. Novica Vuković, to discuss current economic topics, achieved cooperation and future policies related to the potential for improving the business environment in Montenegro.
Expressing his satisfaction with the long-term successful cooperation with the representatives of American capital in our country, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro itself, Minister Vuković pointed out that the Ministry he leads will be dedicated to strengthening partnerships with credible investors, primarily through a transparent approach to communication and exchange of information on an expert level. As the Minister said, the Government’s goal will be directed towards creating a predictable business environment that affirms equal working conditions for all market participants, which will significantly reduce the grey economy zone, and make Montenegro a more attractive investment destination.
Based on the partnership principles defined by the Memorandum of Cooperation within the Rule of Dialogue Platform, President Svetlana Vuksanović announced that the Chamber remains committed to strengthening the partnership with all state institutions to improve the transparency of the business environment, which will be based primarily on the rule of law. Such an environment, she added, creates a good basis for attracting renowned investors from the USA and Western European countries. Their arrival on the Montenegrin market, as Vukasanović pointed out, not only provides capital but also knowledge and experience, as well as a value system based on socially responsible business.
The interlocutors concluded that there is a mutual willingness to intensify communication in the coming period to define the agenda of future action steps.
