AmCham, in cooperation with the Law Office Jovović, Mugoša & Vuković, and the company Čikom, held the workshop “Intellectual property in modern business” on February 16.

The lecturers were Ms. Bojana Nikcevic, lawyer, Law Office Jovović, Mugoša & Vuković and Mr. Dragoslav Kenjic, technical director, Čikom.

At the workshop, participants learned:

✓ How to protect brand;
✓ How long the trademark is valid, how is it renewed and what is international registration;
✓ What does software mean as intellectual property and how do you fulfill the right to use it (software license);
✓ What is software piracy and the consequences of encouraging it.
