Active dialogue between the private and public sectors leads to a better business environment

Podgorica, July 27 – Timely, continuous and active dialogue between the private and public sectors solves challenges in a systematic way, and at the same time achieves a higher level of mutual understanding, said the President of the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce Svetlana Vuksanović and the Minister of Public Administration Marash Dukaj. The Memorandum of Cooperation signed by Vuksanović and Dukaj as part of the program of the American Chamber of Commerce “Rule of Dialogue” will contribute to this.

As Vuksanović said, the cooperation of the business community with decision-makers on the creation of clear, unambiguous and applicable regulations contributes to the creation of a stable business climate that enables the preservation of existing investments, but also the attraction of new ones.

“The Rule of Dialogue program allows us to cross arguments and opinions through the work of our Committees, as well as to use the know-how of our companies when creating policies and legal solutions.” The involvement of the business community in the drafting of regulations contributes to the reduction of business barriers, unfair competition, and suppression of the gray economy. That is why we look forward to future cooperation on the improvement of policies and measures for the development of the information and digital society, the creation and implementation of strategic-analytical documents in the field of e-government, information society and digitization. We are convinced that this leads to easier business, modernization of work processes, as well as greater transparency and productivity,” said Vuksanović.

AmCham President of the Board of Governors emphasized the importance of digital transformation, which, among other things, will enable the additional development of e-services that facilitate business operations in the economy.

Minister Dukaj pointed out that he is glad that the Ministry of Public Administration continues cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro in the areas of the Rule of Law and a transparent business environment.

“In cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro, we will work on improving policies and measures for the development of the information society and digital business, with the aim of greater trust of citizens and businessmen. I am sure that this Memorandum will contribute to the improvement of the business environment in Montenegro based on the Rule of Law and equal opportunities in all areas under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Public Administration,” said Dukaj.

By signing this, along with the Memorandums signed with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism and the Ministry of Science and Technological Development, the American Chamber of Commerce develops cooperation with the Government of Montenegro beginning on June 6 at the “Open with the Prime Minister” event, when the umbrella Memorandum was signed on cooperation on the “Rule of Dialogue” program.

Through the “Rule of Dialogue” program, the American Chamber of Commerce wants to contribute to a predictable and transparent business environment based on the Rule of Law in order to attract renowned investors from the USA and Western European countries.
