AmCham General Assembly held; a new member of the Board of Governors elected

Today, at the General Assembly through video conference, the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro elected a new member of the Board of Governors, Ms. Svetlana Vuksanović (Philip Morris Montenegro), adopted the financial reports for the previous year, and presented AmCham Committee’s activities.

In the opening address, Mr. Nikola Tripković, AmCham President, greeted to the representatives of member companies, and said that he is pleased that AmCham has shown great strength of its membership, in light of the COVID 19 crisis, capacity to respond to the challenges and the fact that actions of our strong member network help to achieve our goal, i.e. more competitive and prosperous Montenegro.

N.E. Judy Rising Reinke, the US Ambassador to Montenegro, expressed her gratitude to the members of the Board for their hard work and vision during the past year, and pointed out that positive changes in the business climate are already being noticed. We are celebrating our achievements, the ambassador said, but we must also recognize the challenges that are ahead, and they are numerous, especially having in mind the consequences of the pandemic of the new corona virus. But, the ambassador said, obstacles are just an opportunity to reinvent ourselves and be better at what we do.

AmCham Committee’s work was also presented at the Assembly, as well as the activities planned in the coming period. The presentations were given by: Ms. Dragana Stojković, President, Labour Relations Committee, Mr. Dmitar Ćulafić, President, Digital Transformation Committee, Mr. Miloš Ičević, President, Health Committee and Ms. Svetlana Vuksanović, Vice President, Gray Economy Committee.

AmCham Montenegro is a business association, founded in 2008, which currently brings together 86 American, international and domestic companies in Montenegro. The Chamber is committed to improving the business environment, in order to attract American and other foreign investments.
