Mirocevic attended the AmCham Conference in the United States

April 15-20– Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro (AmCham Montenegro), Mr. Marko Mirocevic, paid a visit to Washington D.C. and Chicago to attend the conference organized by the AmChams in Europe, where executives from the European Council of AmChams (AmChams in Europe) gathered in the United States to engage with companies, organizations and key government agencies in order to strengthen partnerships and gain insight into the current U.S. business and political climate. This annual conference was attended by 32 representatives from AmChams.

The program started in Washington DC, where the delegation received timely insight into the Trump Administration through a series of high-level briefings from administration officials, organizations and several leading political experts.

Briefing sessions featured speakers from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Department of Commerce, Pew Research Center, CBS Corp., U.S. Senate and Obama Foundation.

Additionally, AmCham delegates participated in the inaugural Transatlantic Business Works Summit, which was co-organized by the U.S. Chamber and Business Europe. The half-day summit focused on ways to deepen transatlantic ties on four fronts: infrastructure, energy, the digital economy, and addressing shared global challenges.

A slightly smaller delegation from 23 AmChams continued on to Chicago, visiting some of the region’s most innovative companies, engaging with senior officials and listening to global thought leaders.

Company visits included stops at Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Abbvie, 1871, Northern Trust and Motorola Solutions. The group also visited City Hall and met with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Executives also had an opportunity to attend a breakfast session featuring former Secretary Of State Madeleine Albright, which was organized by Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
