(PBBE) On Tuesday, October 24th, 2017, at the premises of the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro (AmCham Montenegro), the Labor Relations Committee held a meeting within the Partnership for a Better Business Environment with the representatives of Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Zoran Ratković, Director General of the Directorate for Labor, and Ms. Marina Vučićević, Head of the Directorate for Labor.
The subject of this meeting was the discussion of comments on the Draft of the Labor Law that had been sent to the Ministry. The representatives of the Ministry have stated that the text of the Law is a result of the synergy of representatives of trade unions and representatives of employers. Moreover, they added that the text of the Law has not yet been completed and there are issues that will be further discussed. The Ministry also informed us that some of our comments have been accepted, while others are still being discussed, and that we will have all relevant information when the report on the public debate is published and become publicly available.
The representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare expressed their satisfaction with provided comments and suggestions of the AmCham Labor Committee as a valuable input for creating a better labor regulation.
