2016Energy Efficiency Workshop with Telemont
AmCham Montenegro, together with member company Telemont held a workshop today entitled “Impact of energy management software on the improvement of energy efficiency in business facilities and hotels”. The lecture was held by entrepreneur and professor Velimir Čongradac, Faculty of Technical Sciences, Novi Sad, Serbia.
Prof Čongradac’s lecture aimed at presenting AmCham members and other companies the models and best practices in using energy management software in reducing costs of their business facilities and hotels. The lecture did not only encompass issues of software, but energy efficiency of objects in general.
The usage of the energy management software is in accordance with the EU 2020 package which sets the aim of 20% cut in greenhouse gas emission, usage of 20% of EU energy from renewables and 20% of improvement in energy efficiency.
By giving the example of the Emergency center in Novi Sad, Serbia, prof Čongradac explained how even highly automatized and modern objects can still have savings while using the software for managing the usage of the energy in the space. He concluded that it is not only sufficient to have an automatized object, but also a software is needed which would help optimize the use of energy.
