The U.S. Embassy and AmCham Montenegro hosted a reception on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, 2015.

This event gathered around 60 guests from disability-rights NGOs, companies and state agencies.  Ambassador Uyehara, AmCham President Bulatovic and Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Kovacevic highlighted the importance of employment and social inclusion of persons with disabilities in Montenegro. AmCham President also announced at the event that AmCham Internship Program will provide positions for student with disabilities in the next intake in April 2016.

Guests also had the opportunity to see an excerpt of a documentary I am More Than My Barriers produced by the NGO Association of Youth with Disabilities of Montenegro and Center for Multimedia Production.
