AIP “Interviewing skills” Workshop

AmCham Montenegro in cooperation with Ernst&Young (EY) organized a workshop entitled “Interviewing skills” for 2014 AmCham Internship Program participants, on Thursday, May 15 2014. The workshop was conducted by Assistant Director of Human Resources at EY, Ms. Sonja Jovanović, and Senior Associate of Human Resources at EY, Ms. Tanja Srdanović.

This interactive workshop was primarily designed to allow interns to understand the importance of writing a proper CV and making a strong first impression when applying for jobs. Interns received tips and hints on how to make their CV stand out and catch the employer’s attention in less than 30 seconds. Through a number of assignments, they were given a chance to act from the position of a potential candidate, as well as the employer, in order to get a better feeling of what is it like to be the decision-maker in the job interview process.

AmCham interns concluded that job interviews can be stressful, but the key to success is good preparation. The goal of the workshop was to place interns in a position to judge their own performance and learn from one another. The workshop was an extremely useful experience both for students and organizers alike. AmCham Montenegro will continue to organize workshops as a part of the AmCham Internship Program.
