AmCham Montenegro held a meeting at the Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration today with the State Secretary – Chief Negotiator for Montenegro’s Accession to the EU, Ambassador Aleksandar Andrija Pejović, and his team. The aim of the meeting was discuss both the economic aspect of the EU integrations process and cooperation possibilities.

AmCham Montenegro presented its work, goals and activities, as well as advocacy initiatives. Ambassador Pejović explained the importance of the negotiation process and the impact that it will have on Montenegrin economy. Ambassador Pejović also stressed that businesses in Montenegro should be more involved in the integration process, as they will be significantly influenced by accession into the EU.

Both parties agreed that it is necessary to work on raising public awareness about questions related to the impact of EU integration on the economic perspective of Montenegro. The meeting will result in further cooperation between AmCham Montenegro and MFAEI.
