2010Meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Lazovic
Representatives from the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro and officials from the US Embassy in Podgorica met with Deputy Prime Minister Vujica Lazovic to present him with AmCham’s 2010 Business Challenges Report. The meeting was attended by AmCham Board of Governors Vice President Svetlana Vuksanovic, Board Member Christopher Laska and AmCham Executive Director Edin Seferovic. Mr. Bennet Lowenthal, Charge d’ Affaires at the US Embassy also attended.
During discussions, AmCham representatives expressed that they will focus on three prioritized areas, where business challenges and known to exist, in 2011. These areas are Human Resources, Rule of Law, and Bureaucratic Procedures. Mr. Lazovic and AmCham Montenegro agreed to cooperate by addressing these areas and defining a strategy in a Cooperation Agreement. Regular meetings between the Deputy Prime Minister and AmCham will take place in 2011 to measure progress.
